There is a secret to achieving this result: strict compliance with the tradition of artisanal production. Every single process at the CARTEM Atelier is carried out in compliance with the uses and customs of a centuries-old publishing tradition, clearly visible in the tiniest details of the work. This can only be achieved through work that restores dignity to the craftsmen, reinstating them as the most important element in the creation of the work.  Several factors will always be of prime importance in our editorial essence: the delicate use of pergamenata, leather, wood, velvet, and fedrigoni paper, the use of 24k gold and limited and notarised editions.

Being the Frankfurter Buchmesse the ultimate exhibition and business hub for the universe of books, the facsimile brand launched the Unique & Handmade campaign in 2022, showcasing the handcrafted processes of our Atelier del Libro to the Frankfurt fair attendees. This proposition invited visitors to become part of the intimate creation process of our works, engaging in stitching and leather tanning processes. Through these actions, we fostered a close bond between our Book Atelier and the exhibition space, resulting in one of the core values of our identity: the craftsmanship and tradition of our works combined with international B2B relationships.
